Cyber Threat Intelligence is essential for identifying and mitigating potential security risks in the digital landscape. This course will show you how to use cyber threat intelligence effectively, involving gathering insights from multiple sources, processing and analyzing data, and disseminating results to relevant stakeholders.
Who is this course for? Persons with an IT background or people interested in learning more about cybersecurity, including from policymaking, law, civil society and academia. No previous experience in cybersecurity or technical knowledge in incident management is required.
What will you learn? After taking this course, you will be able to:
- Explain what Cyber Threat Intelligence is and demonstrate how it contributes to a proactive rather than reactive posture against cybersecurity threats
- Explain the difference between data, information and intelligence, as well as the difference between strategic, operational and tactical Cyber Threat Intelligence
- Name at least 3 relevant sources for Cyber Threat Intelligence
- Explain why automated data collection, collaboration and threat evaluation are pivotal for Cyber Threat Intelligence, as well as why AI holds significant potential for Cyber Threat Intelligence
- Describe the main aspects of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
