Digital First Responders help to solve
IT disruptions and recognize IT security incidents quickly and reliably
in order to limit their impact and prevent further damage. They are
there to pass on their knowledge to their community and help secure a
safe digital future. Completing this course will qualify you to work as
Digital First Responders in your respective country or organization. The
course can also be a first step to build your cybersecurity skills and get an introduction to incident management. You will receive a certificate and an open badge after completing this course and passing the final assessment.
This
course is based on content created by the Federal Office for
Information Security (BSI) and has been edited by the Deutsche
Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
Who is this course for? Interested persons, no prior IT knowledge required.
What will you learn? After taking this course, you will be able to:
- Explain to a friend or colleague what the difference between an IT disruption and an IT incident is.
- Know which practical steps to follow to help those affected in the event of an IT disruption.
- Know how to recognize IT incidents, which practical steps to follow to help those affected, as well as who to refer to.
How much time do you need to invest? You will need approx. 180 minutes to complete this course.
